After launching the new 27-inch Cinema Display with 2560×1440 resolution and LED backlight, Apple will not longer rely on the smaller 24″ and larger 30-inch model. Apple has already begun to phase them out. It is reported that they can be ordered while stocks last.
The 30-inch model is now an older model, so this is not surprising. However, the 24″ model was launched back in October 2008 and similar in design to the 27″ version, besides its size and resolution. That said, Apple say that a single, 27-inch version is sufficient.
The new 27″ LED Cinema Display will be delivered from September, but if you feel that you must have either a 24-inch or 30-inch Cinema Display, you better act now.
