Fujitsu is launching 3 new monitors with IPS panels in combination with LED backlighting technology, which has been a relatively rare feature in IPS monitors until recently. The new lineup of high-end PC monitors is called the P series. The high-performance IPS panel technology delivers precise picture quality, whereas the LED backlight ensures considerably lower power consumption as well as more brightness.
The three new models come in 27, 24 and 23-inch varieties called P27T-6, P24W-6 and P23T-6. This new display generation from Fujitsu completes the transition to LED backlighting for the company’s professional monitors. To offer a comfortable and ergonomically sound working position, the FujitsuĀ P-series come with flexible, height-adjustable feet that can also rotate, tilt and pivot. Connectivity is handled by DVI, HDMI (2 ports), DisplayPort or analogue D-SUB (VGA). In addition, there’s a 4-port USB hub integrated.
It’s a well-known fact that energy-saving LED backlighting helps reduce power consumption significantly. According to the manufacturer, Fujitsu’s solution brings down stand-by consumption close to zero Watts, and with the Eco mode the monitors’ automatic brightness control regulates the brightness in relation to its surroundings.
Besides the IPS panel, other specifications include an impressive 6 ms (G2G) response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 178/178 viewing angles, 12-bit internal color processing and wide color space for 102% of NTSC. The 27-inch P27T-6 has a resolution of 2560×1440, the 24-inch P24W-6 has 1920×1200 pixels and the 23-inch P23T-6 has a resolution of 1920×1080.
