Dell UltraSharp U2412M Coupon

This is as far as we know the first coupon for the new Dell UltraSharp U2412 and it’s worth $80 off. The list price $399, which is quite an attractive price point in itself, is in other words brought down to $319–quite a significant rebate on a high-end monitor. If you’ve been ogling the 24-inch Dell UltraSharp U2412, waiting for the right time to pull the trigger on one, here it is. It is valid for a short time only, so act fast to secure an U2412 at this price. Here’s how to claim the rebate:

The U2412M is a 16:10 IPS monitor, which is somewhat unusual for a monitor released in 20111 and useful when practically all new releases seem to be in the wide 16:9 format. As a consequence, the resolution is also higher on this one–1920×1200 instead of the usual 1920×1080, giving you some extra screen real estate to work with.

As you would expect from theĀ  UltraSharp series, this one comes with all the bells and whistles, including first and foremost an IPS panel with 178-degree viewing angles, 1,000:1 static contrast ratio (2,000,000:1 dynamic) and 300 cd/m2 brightness. Even the response time is a low 8ms.

The included stand has all the options that a professional might require, including height, tilt, swivel and pivot. In terms of connectivity, the monitor comes with DVI-D with HDCP, DisplayPort, D-SUB (VGA) and a built-in 4 port USB hub. It also has a DC power connector for the Dell Soundbar in the event that you happen to own one of those.

Dell’s “PowerNap” feature that turns the monitor off or dims it down when it goes into screen saver mode. This keeps the average power consumption down to 38W (72W max). All in all, this is about a good a deal as you are likely to find right now on a premium IPS monitor.
