We’ve heard a lot of good things about Apple’s 27-incher since it was officially unveiled this summer, and now it is starting to become widely available. This is good news for Mac users and others who need a large external, high quality monitor. It also happens to be a really nice-looking piece of tech.
On paper it looks to be basically the same screen as the one in the latest iMac. The 27-inch IPS panel has a 2560×1440 pixels resolution, which is almost as much as the average 30-inch monitor and substantially more than the 1920×1200 or less that 24-inch monitors tend to have. It is of course also LED lit for better colors.
